Dr. Matthias Schubert

Matthias Schubert joined Matrisk in 2008 and is presently the CEO of Matrisk. Before joining Matrisk he worked at ETH Zürich as a scientific assistant in the group of risk and safety. In this group the focus was set on risk analysis of technical systems, statistical methods, assessment of time series and their stochastic characteristics. Matthias Schubert holds a master degree and a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering.

Dr. Katharina Fischer

Katharina Fischer joined Matrisk in 2014 as an expert in the field of risk and reliability modelling, probabilistic modelling and code calibration. Before her engagement in Matrisk she worked as a research assistant at ETH Zürich in the group of risk and safety and in the group of structural engineering for steel, timber and composite structures. There, her main field of research was related to risk and reliability theory, decision making and fire risk analysis.

Dr. OIiver Kübler

Oliver Kübler joined Matrisk in 2019 as expert in the field of risk and reliability modelling and decision support. His aim is to support infrastructure owners making best use of limited resources and take acceptable risks. Before joining he worked as a natural catastrophe (nat cat) expert for a reinsurance company assessing Nat Cat risks worldwide. Moreover, he also benefits from his experience working as a structural engineer and engineering risk analyst in Scandinavia.

Prof. Dr. Michael Havbro Faber

Michael Havbro Faber, a co-founder of Matrisk, is professor in the area of Risk Informed Decision Support for Structures at the Department of Civil Engineering at Aalborg University, Denmark. Before his present academic position, he was head of Department of Civil Engineering at DTU, Denmark and full professor at ETH Zurich. In addition to his academic career, he has an extensive practical experience in the applications of methods of structural reliability theory to load analysis, structural design, assessment of existing structures and risk-based inspection and maintenance planning in the fields of civil, offshore and aeronautical engineering.

Prof. Dr. Jochen Köhler

Jochen Köhler joined Matrisk in 2007 as an associate expert and became a director in 2008. He is an expert in structural reliability analysis and risk assessment in the field of civil engineering. Besides his engagement in Matrisk he was a senior research associate and lecturer at ETH Zurich. Since 2012 Jochen Köhler is professor at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway.

Prof. Dr. Daniel Straub

A co-founder of Matrisk, Daniel Straub is a leading expert on integrity management of engineering systems and natural hazards risk assessment and management. Besides his engagement in Matrisk, he is an associate professor at the Technical University Munich where he heads the Engineering Risk Analysis Group
